This idyllic Suffolk farmhouse is now home to a high-quality B&B business. This space was the backyard of a farmhouse, the sloping and cracked concrete was both unsightly and unsafe. The brief was to transform this space from a liability into a valuable asset. A large shady terrace was created where guests could relax surrounded by beds of colourful planting, with many scented plants. The fragrance on warm summer evenings perfumes the space and also wafts up into the guests’ rooms. Herbs are freely planted throughout, and not only look and smell fabulous, but add flavour to the delicious home-cooking enjoyed by the guests ...
